Do you normally use a straw when you are drinking any brand of softdrinks?
Experts say: If you drink from a straw often, it can give you lines around your mouth, cautions Dr. Yanee Santos of Aesthetic Science. Why? The puckering motion (the same one you make to puff on a cigarette) controls the skin around your lips and speeds up the development of thin white lines.
Face saver: Switch it up, so you don’t always drink out of a straw. Also try not to chew on a straw (or even gum) for so long periods of time when you’re distracted, like during a movie or while surfing the internet. To diminish any noticeable lines apply a clear lip plumper around the perimeter of your mouth and swipe on a collagen-stimulating cream at night.
