You bought that self-tanner hoping to get an instant and cancer-free tan, but unfortunately, you missed a few spots.
Fast Fix:
Dab any untanned areas with foundation, and top with deep bronzing powder to blend the color with the rest of your body (try The Body Shop’s Lustre Bronzer, Php 1,395 or Fanny Serrano Shimmer Bronze, Php 399). Then when taking a shower, use a sponge or loofah to gently rub areas like the knees, elbows, knuckles, and ankles to reduce splotchy markings, suggest Gela Laurel-Stehmier, Chief makeup artist for Lancome.
Alternately, you can apply a small amount of whitening toner like the White Beauty Pore Conditioning Toner of Pond’s, Php55 to tone down any overly-saturated areas.
Next time:
When shopping for a tanner, opt for one with built-in bronze tint instead of going for a clear formula. This will help you see if you leave any spots bare and gauge which areas need more or less product application. Try Lancome Flash Bronzer Transfer-Resistant Sefl-Tanner, Php 2595, or The Body Collections Sefl-Tanning Lotion, Php 875.
